Clariva ("we", "us") is a consulting service — business planning, financial modeling and marketing strategy — operated from Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how we handle it. We follow the principles of Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and BC's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
1. What we collect
- Contact details you give us — your name and email address when you request a resource (such as a checklist), ask a question, or place an order.
- Business information you share for an engagement — revenue, costs, pricing, goals, and similar details you provide through our intake form or by email so we can build your financial model or business plan.
- Basic usage data — if analytics are enabled on this site, we collect aggregated, non-identifying statistics (pages visited, referral source, approximate region). We do not use advertising trackers.
2. How we use it
- To deliver the service you ordered — building your model or plan and corresponding with you about it.
- To send you the specific resource you requested. If you join our email list, every message includes an unsubscribe link, consistent with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
- To improve the site using aggregated statistics.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. Ever.
3. Your business data is confidential
The financial details you share for an engagement are treated as confidential. We use them only to produce your deliverables. We do not reference identifiable client information in our marketing without your written permission — our public case studies are anonymized or based on demonstration cases.
4. Storage and retention
Working files are stored on secured, access-controlled systems. We keep engagement files for as long as reasonably needed to support you (including revision rounds and follow-up questions), and delete them on request — see below.
5. Your rights
You may ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to withdraw consent to further contact. Email info@clarivagroups.ca and we will respond within 30 days.
6. Third-party services
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts and may use a privacy-focused analytics service. Payments, if processed online, are handled by the payment provider — we never see or store full card details. These providers have their own privacy policies.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes affecting active clients will be communicated by email.
